Huge Comets set to hit planet earth in October, say researchers.
Get ready to have that song stuck in your head for the rest for the day! Here’s your new catchy discovery: robust and ingenious guitar riffs coated with some sweet psychedelic synth. I’ve got this bad habit of judging a song on preliminary impressions but Piano Club didn’t give me a second to think: I was dragged through this assertive and promising excerpt of their upcoming album… It felt like I was getting kidnapped while thoroughly enjoying it! See for yourself:
Led by Anthony Sinatra – Hollywood Porn Stars – Piano Club started in 2007 with the release of their first single “Girl On TV” produced by Philippe Zdar. Based in Liège, Belgium, the band soon started touring, had their songs played on Belgian radio stations and opened for acts such as the Klaxons!
Piano Club’s sound, particularly in this recent release, falls into the same category as the famous Phoenix, MGMT, Metronomy or Oh No Ono. Not the worst bands to be compared with, right? In fact, the band’s powerful and hybrid pop rock topped sales in Belgium for 31 weeks in a row in 2010. Their growing fan base enthusiastically embraced their next release – Ain’t no mountain high – which came out just before their second album Colore (2013). The band has since been touring and working hard on finding their own modern pop sound.
Their brand new album Fantasy Walk is set to come out in October and judging by this track, we’re on the cusp of something big! The full album will be introduced on September 15 at Botanique in Brussels. Keep updated on their Facebook page or visit their website for more insight and tour dates.
