Luxembourg seems to have more and more to offer when it comes to music. EDSUN, 25-year-old artist born and raised in the Grand Duchy, is the living proof – among several others – that incredibly talented and varied acts can be found in this country.
Though relatively new on the music scene, one can easily argue that EDSUN was born an artist. I wasn’t sure what to expect before I went to see him live at the Rotondes back in February 2016 but what a fantastic surprise that was! As a former dance student at the Conservatoire of Luxembourg, he has managed to combine his passion for dance and music to create a unique style and stage set. During their show, EDSUN and his two dancers don’t only take over the stage, they take over the whole venue! Getting involved with the audience, meandering in and out the room, almost interacting with people while keeping an appropriate distance. This concept adds creative elements of artistic mystery, illusion and magic. A truly inspiring experience! I think the only way to really understand what EDSUN is about is to go watch him give his full set live on stage. Do it soon while it’s still cheap and trust me you won’t regret the trip.
EDSUN had already released a first video clip in October 2015 for his track “No Compliments”. Same kind of vibe: chilled R&B with a slight melancholic touch enhanced by a gloomy video featuring contemporary dance on a black & white theme. It’s worth your attention!
